Moving, travelling or returning to Singapore requires a few things. There are added preparation and mandatory quarantine or Stay Home Notice (SHN) upon arrival for everyone entering Singapore.

The 3 important places to gather information:

Country of departure (country where you are coming from)
Country of arrival (country you are travelling to)
Transportation (the transportation service you are using)

Here are a few things you need to expect and prepare before you travel:

TRAVEL PROTOCOLS

Different destinations have different protocols. You need to check if the country you would like to enter allows entry from where you are coming from and documents you need to show to be allowed.

LONGER PRE-DEPARTURE WAITING TIME

If international flights used to be 3 hours waiting time, this time, except for more because at the airport, there are more documents or forms to fill, lines seems longer due to social distancing and contactless activities such as temperature checking takes time since every individual has to go through it.

MANDATORY SWAB TESTS

Check if you need to produce a swab test result upon arrival at the airport and upon check in. Some require swab test only upon arrival depending on your status.

QUARANTINE

As of date, mandatory quarantine is necessary to all travelers to contain anyone infected. This can lead to your own expenses / subsidized.

COVID RELATED NEWS

Be updated about the country you are going to. Changes may vary on the day of your arrival. It is better to be prepared for anything.

HEALTH DECLARATION FORMS

Check-ins, pre-departure and upon arrivals require submission or proof of health declaration forms provided by the immigration, check-in counters and hotels. Some are given on your itinerary or required to attain from their respective websites.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Proof of the necessity of your travel to your destination. Some countries do not allow tourists as of date. Some of the documents that you may need to require are, employment pass, letter of invitations, education letter or identification of residency.
